Sarah Vrede Appointed Head of NZDMO

Treasury Deputy Secretary Financial and Commercial Operations, Brendon Doyle, today announced the appointment of Sarah Vrede as Director, Financial Operations and Head of NZDMO. Previously Head of Portfolio Management, Sarah had been acting in the role for some time as Brendon took on a wider role in the Treasury leadership team.

Sarah's background is predominantly in financial markets at Bank of New Zealand and DFC New Zealand. Previous roles have included: Head of Derivatives Trading, Head of Treasury Information and Technology and Director - Business Delivery.

Sarah studied accounting and finance at Victoria University and London School of Economics.

As Director, Financial Operations, Sarah has responsibility for the New Zealand Export Credit Office in addition to the NZDMO.

Brendon's Deputy Secretary responsibilities were recently changed to cover both the Financial and Commercial Operations portfolios of the Treasury.
