The Treasury had previously announced plans to commence a repurchase programme of the 15 April 2020 nominal bonds in the 2018/2019 fiscal year, with the amount repurchased depending on portfolio requirements and market conditions.[1]

The first repurchase tender will be held on Wednesday 20 March 2019, with details as follows:

Settlement date 25 March 2019
Bonds to be repurchased 15 April 2020
Coupon 3.00%
Total volume Up to $250 million
Tender close  2.00pm (NZT)
Results announced from  2.05pm (NZT)

Repurchase results will be published on the Yieldbroker Auction System, Bloomberg (NZDM06) and the New Zealand Debt Management website.

Further repurchase tenders will be announced depending on the Treasury’s portfolio requirements and market conditions. The Treasury will not issue media statements for further repurchase tenders.
