The New Zealand Debt Management Office announced today that $2 billion of 15 April 2027 nominal bonds have been issued via syndication.

The bonds, which carry a coupon of 4.5%, were issued at a spread of 21 basis points over the 15 April 2023 nominal bond, at a yield to maturity of 4.68%. Total book size, within the initial pricing guidance range of 21 to 25 basis points, exceeded $2.4 billion.

Settlement will occur on 9 July 2014.

Further issuance of the new 2027 nominal bond will not occur prior to September 2014.
