S&P Global Ratings has raised the New Zealand Sovereign’s credit rating as a result of New Zealand’s strong recovery from the COVID-19 crisis. S&P Global Ratings raised its long-term foreign and local currency sovereign ratings on New Zealand to 'AA+' and ‘AAA’, respectively, from 'AA' and 'AA+'. The outlook is stable.
This notice is given under clause 68 of schedule 2 of the Financial Markets Conduct Regulations 2014 to holders of debt securities issued by Her Majesty the Queen in right of New Zealand including:
- New Zealand Government Kiwi Bonds
- New Zealand Government Bonds, and
- New Zealand Government Inflation-Indexed Bonds.
The ratings upgrade described above is not expected to have a material impact on an investment in these debt securities.
